Some of the featured performers include:

Mary Fahrenbruck

  • M.Music in Piano, University of Michigan, Ph.D in Piano, The Ohio State University
  • Retired as full professor after thirty years at Central State University
  • Studied at the Mozarteum in Salzbury, Austria; St. Petersburg, Russia; Eastman School of Music and Indiana University
  • Has performed as a soloist from Charleston, SC to Thunder Bay, Ontario
  • Has performed widely as a collaborator, accompanist, orchestra member, pit musician and harpsichordist
  • She and her husband live in Yellow Springs

Priscilla Acuff

  • B. Music Education and M.S. Education and Allied Professions, Wright State University
  • Recently retired from the Franklin City Schools as junior high school music teacher, teaching vocal music, general music and junior high band
  • Began piano lessons at five years of age, and in high school she studied organ with Paul Jones at First Lutheran Church in Dayton
  • She is currently organist at Fairhaven Church in Centerville.

Kathleen Durig

  • B. Music Education, The Ohio State University; M.Music, College Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati
  • Studied flute with George Hambrecht, former principal flutist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra
  • She is a performing member of the Sinclair Community College Wind Symphony and the Dayton Music Club
  • Currently a music teacher at Huber Heights Titus Elementary

Thomas Wittberg

  • Studied classical guitar with Robert Mercer at the University of Cincinnati
  • Performs with the Dayton Classic Guitar Trio, with guitarists Jim McCutcheon and David Ferrarra, and with flutist Kathleen Durig
  • He is a physicist at the University of Dayton Research Institute

Mary White

  • Part of a baroque quartet that is working on the sonata from J.S. Bach's "A Musical Offering," after hearing it performed by Neal Gittleman and the Dayton Philharmonic this season
  • Her quartet will play the sonata on Saturday, May 14 at the Show House
  • The quartet includes: Mary White, Suzanne Oldham, Richard Simons and Barbara (Dennis) Leeds
  • Ms. White lives in Yellow Springs

Mary Arnett and Bob Gray

  • Retired DPO violin and clarinet/flute musicians
  • They have played at every Show House for more than twenty years
